HI, I'M ALLISON

Bio:
My name is Allison Marie, and I want to welcome you to my wonderland. Wonderland Wines was created out of wanting a place to share my knowledge and love of wine with others, with inclusion and without pretension. A place to help spark intrigue in others through my passion for the industry!

As a native Minnesotan, I was not exposed to wine or came from a background of wine lovers. I started my own journey in wine after being able to study aboard in Spain. It was there, tasting the red wines of Rioja, that I became enthralled in all that the world of wine had to offer. I received my undergrad in Hotel, Restaurant, and Tourism Management, with a focus on wine, after completing an extensive wine and food pairing course in Bordeaux. After graduation, I headed to a job position in Montana, at the Relais and Chateau Resort, Triple Creek Ranch, to study to become a sommelier. I studied for a year under the Advanced Sommelier before taking over and running the program. With the help of my amazing mentor, I became a certified Sommelier, through Court of Master Sommeliers, at twenty-three.

Since then, I have catered my career to food and wine in the hospitality industry. I am a hospitality professional that is nerdy for wine and beverage. Most recently, I did a stint in Oregon to learn first-hand how to make wine, at Elk Cove Vineyards.
 

Wonderland Wines is a platform to create interest in wine through sharing my knowledge and guides to help others. Here you will find blogs, guides, and information that is accessible and easy to digest. Meaning I operate without pretension, looking to help people grow on their wine journey.
